The M Art Museum opened at the Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block in SIP recently. Its first exhibition, themed “Whispers of Frames: Time, Space and the Imagery Within”, offers a multidimensional artistic feast that transcends generations.

The exhibition, scheduled to last till Mar 8, 2026, showcases the attainments of 21 oil painters educated at the Central Academy of Fine Arts of China. The works, spanning from the artists’ student years to recent years, intertwine the creators’ personal development trajectories with the evolution of oil painting as a way of expressing thoughts and emotions.

Founded by Meng Xiaodong, an experienced painting educator, the M Art Museum aims to bridge artistic creation and public aesthetic education. With a focus on collection, research, exhibition curation and interpretation, the museum is committed to supporting and promoting development of contemporary Chinese painting.
