On Jan 1, 4,052 people celebrated the beginning of 2026 with a passionate run in Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort, SIP.

Sponsored by the Administrative Committee of Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort, the event not only boosted people’s zest for physical exercises, but also fueled cultural tourism.

During the event, some participants ran along the about 10-kilometer route, while the other ran about 5 kilometers, enjoying the amazing ecological scenes all the way through.

A highlight of the event was the combination of sports and travel. The participants who completed the race could enjoy free admission to Suzhou Yangcheng Peninsula Theme Park, the starting point and terminal of the run. Families of the participants were eligible for discounted tickets and priority park entry. In the park, they could participate in a variety of interesting activities devised for the New Year celebration.
