Around the Spring Festival, more than 130 events were held across SIP under the theme of “Galloping into Spring, Delighting at the Three Lakes”. Statistics show that, during the Spring Festival holiday, the Jinji Lake Scenic Area and Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort welcomed 2.1651 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 8.4%, and the operating incomes of 12 major hotels around Jinji and Yangcheng lakes totaled RMB39.7131 million during this period, up 8.53% YoY. Besides, 12 commercial complexes in the park reported sales of RMB580 million, increasing by 8% YoY.

Traditions and culture related to the Spring Festival were ingeniously integrated with trendy modern aesthetics. A number of Spring Festival fairs were held across the park, offering creative cultural products, local specialties and diverse cultural experiences.

At an event in Suzhou Industrial Park Urban Art Space, the participants experienced traditional handicrafts, and in the Archaeological Site Park of Caoxieshan, visitors learned about ancient new year celebrations.

Vouchers and coupons were distributed through three online platforms and sales promotions held at shopping malls. Specially devised activities were held at popular tourist destinations such as the “Suzhou Eye” Ferris Wheel and Suzhou Yangcheng Peninsula Theme Park.

Various performances, exhibitions and movies enhanced the festive atmosphere.
